Isbjørnen tænder til at knuse hval ringe
krom pels og platin kløer
arktiske vision
moderne køkken
gnide vores frosne næser
over det nye retter
inde i min hals - istapper
kløe, da de smelter

Nordic Catwalk
Danish fashion and design is known for being on the cutting edge. Twice a year exemplary work by danish fashion designers can be found in one place: Copenhagen Fashion Week. This is where the fore-running danish designers go to debut their spring and autumn collections.
Taking place every February and August, Copenhagen Fashion Week marks the highlight of the Northern European fashion season. This February, fashion week starts February 2nd and goes through the weekend till the 6th.
With over 60,000 designers, buyers and global press agents in attendance fashion week is always brimming with talent and style. Set in the heart of downtown Copenhagen, people come from across the globe to see what the best of Scandinavian fashion is this season. The official show space for the runway show is at City Hall, a striking building from 1905.
In attendance are many new and old danish designers, each with their own take on the "dansk" design aesthetic. One of my personal favorites Jesper Høvring, the revered Danish dress maker, is among the many designers to participate.
Running parallel with fashion week is the Copenhagen Fashion Festival. The festival provides opportunities for the public to experience and be involved with fashion week.
This is a great time to be in Copenhagen and experience the beauty and excitement of modern scandinavian fashion.

Nikolaj is a contemporary art center in Copenhagen. The latest exhibition there was titled LOVE: an exhibition for children by poet Morten Søndergaard in collaboration with We Are Popular.
Described as- "LOVE - about the fabric of language, chaos and order - and the love between words and images. The exhibition is mainly aimed at children and youngsters exploring the systems, rules and laws of our language in a eye opening way."

In Danish the word love means law, which presents an interesting discussion considering the popularity of the English word love.
The creator of Ungtblod (a popular danish blog) visited the exhibition and wrote this lovely post and took the following pictures:
TUBORG
At exactly 20:59 on November 5, Tuborg’s infamous Christmas Brew is released, and so-called J-dag parties are held across the country in anticipation, and appreciation, of the first golden drops.
The interactive festive website is clever and funny. Wish I was in Denmark enjoying some tuborg øl !
slags design
“hej cyclist! hvil fodden her… og tak fordi du cykler i byen!
foot and hand rest for cyclists in the city of copenhagen, denmark: hey cyclist! rest your foot here… and thank you for cycling in the city!
Thoughtful design by Copenhagen Transportation (and good PR too).
